So this summer I'm going to be interning at a website that represents bloggers and fashion people and whatnot and I'm not *entirely* sure what that entails but they came up with that contest a few years ago on here where you could design a purse and if you won they made it and yeah??? So that's really cool. I'm pretty sure I was intimidated by everyone's entries so I didn't enter but I remember thinking how cool it was so yay

I really love this, asdljfslf. Those JEANS. And oh lawd, those rachel antonoff shoes. I have rainboots by her that I love so much and those shoes need to be mine. But yeah I just think all of this is really pretty, even (especially) the song. Alia Shawkat is the most gorgeous thing to ever gorgeous, and she's a facecast for a character in the book I'm going to try to write for Camp NaNoWriMo. I'm OFFICIALLY going to new york in october, which is alskdjflsdjfs. My mom wants to check out the NYU campus before they send me there for six weeks next summer, and I am MORE than okay with spending more time in new york. I'm trying to convince my parents to see Newsies and Peter and the Starcatcher, to make it a Keenan-Bolger trip, seeing Andrew AND Celia. :D

yay new york sets! :'D So yeah as an update I didn't get into the next round of the ABNAs, but that's alright. Publisher's Weekly pretty much told me I don't deserve to breathe, and I cried for a bit but I'm alright now, sending out queries and hoping for the best. :) I went to europe and it was sort of the best thing that ever happened, and I feel in love with everywhere we went and Bruges is one of my favourite places in the world now and it was so great and I really want to go back and I love (almost XD) everyone that was there with me and UGH it was perfect. I finished grade 10 (yaaay!) with an 81 average so that's good, and now next year pretty much all my energy's going towards getting into nyu's summer precollege program . in more recent news I just joined chicktopia. my username on there is dontworrybemaggie and we should be friends yes good.

yay chris colfer set yaaay! :D bitches. love. chris. colfer. anyhoo, I haven't been on in a while, so allow me to update you. Nothing new has happened, but I DID end up making it into the quarter-finals. But the list of the 50 semi-finalists gets posted tomorrow, and I think I'm going to have a heart attack. The difference this time is that I know my name's not going to be on the list. Like, I'm 99.999% certain. So 0.0001%, don't fail me now, I guess. XD I'm really just hoping for a constructive Publisher's Weekly review, because that's what I can actually take away from this whole thing. I've seen some of the reviews from last year, and they're MEAN, oh my GOD. So hopefully they either give me a nice review (yeah okay right) or they give me something that I can learn from. Cross your fingers/toes/eyes/whatever else you can cross for me!

So I guess it was a good idea to put Chloe Moretz in my last set, since the Polyvore Editorial team put it in a collection and holy set views, batman! We had two snowdays in the middle of the week last week, now I just have to get through this week and then it's march break! :'D And then the Tuesday after March break is the day the next cut in the ABNA contest is announced. I really, *really* hope I make it to the next stage, because having Publisher's Weekly review my book would be HUGE. But I'm not sure if I'm going to make it, because there's SO MANY amazing books this year. But we'll see. :)

This is a celebratory set! YAAAY! I'm celebrating because I made it into the top 1000 of the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award Contest, which is a lot more impressive than it sounds. Basically, 80% of the entrants get cut in the first round, but I held on! :'D the only issue is that now 75% of the 1000 get cut. I'm not sure how I'm going to do in round two, but here's hoping for the best! The song in the title and attached to the set is Hannah, by Freelance Whales. That's because the main character in my book is named after that song. Chloe Moretz is featured because she's my playby for Hannah. :3

WOAH. HI. No matter how long I leave polyvore, I always come back. A L W A Y S. So okay let's see what's changed... I'm 16 now. But that's a recent change, my birthday was yesterday. That means I can drive here and drink in paris, though that's not the reason for the parisian set. I'm going there in April, but only for a day. Most of that trip's going to be spent in England. I'm in grade 10 now, which is just like grade nine except you get to glare at people. I like to think I'm less angsty now, but we'll see, I suppose. I wrote a book. Like, a full out, 70 000 word novel. Most of it in November during NaNoWriMo. It's currently in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award contest. The first cut gets made in three days and I'm terrified but I want to knoowwww. I went to New York, and I saw Avenue Q and Darren's run of H2$. It was perfect. My future is kind of a thing I need to worry about now. I locked in my choices for courses next year yesterday and I'm kind of freaking out because it's like set in stone now. I'm taking grade 12 english along with 11, french, music, yearbook, history, and peer support, which means I'm like an assistant teacher in a grade nine class. Hopefully English. schools in new york don't give financial aid to international students, so there goes that dream. I'm looking at schools that'll let me do a semester abroad to see if I can go to london or something, because there's publishing houses there. Not as many as new york, but y'know. (it's so weird researching universities. I've done it since I was little and legally blonde was my favourite movie and I decided I wanted to go to harvard law just like elle woods, but now I have to do it for real. Like, actually choosing where to go.) I want to major in english at guelph university, because they're partnered with a college and they do a lot of co-op programs, so I can hopefully intern at a publishing house, probably in toronto. it's scary, because having a BA in english isn't going to do jack shit for me if an internship or something like that falls through. And I have, like, zero other talents. I'm also sort of kind of considering humber-guelph, to get a degree in social work. Not like, on top of english, or anything, but that interests me too and it would be easier to find something where that degree is useful.
